In October 2019, Aerospace Haiying (Harbin) Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. ("Haiying Harbin Titanium") innovatively adopted the cold crucible vacuum induction melting aerosol technology to produce TA15 titanium alloy powder.
The nominal composition of TA15 titanium alloy is Ti-6.5Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V, which belongs to a α-similar type titanium alloy with high aluminum equivalent. It is mainly used to manufacture the load-bearing parts working for a long time under 500 ℃, such as various compartments, rudder surfaces, engine inlets, etc. With the development of metal 3D printing technology in the field of aerospace, the demand of TA15 and other new titanium alloy powder is increasing.
