Jilin Zhongyi Carbon starts large size UHP graphite electrode project

On the morning of September 16, Liuhe County held a groundbreaking ceremony for a large-scale UHP graphite electrode project of 35,000tpy with a total investment of RMB620 million (USD87.47 million) in the Economic Development Zone.
The project is invested and constructed by Jilin Zhongyi Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. It covers an area of 160mu and has an annual output of 35,000t. It mainly produces ultra-high power graphite electrodes with a diameter of more than 600mm. After the project is put into production, the annual operating income will be RMB1.6 billion (USD225.73 million) and the profit and tax will be RMB500 million (USD70.54 million).
