HBMG reduces some coal capacity

Huaibei Mining (HBMG) disclosed on the evening of July 29 that the company recently received the approval of production capacity reduction in Zhuzhuang and other coal mines of Huaibei Mining Group from Anhui Energy Bureau.
Anhui Energy Bureau agreed in principle that the production capacity of Zhuzhuang Coal Mine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaibei Mining Co., Ltd., should be reduced from 1.9 million tons per year to 1.6 million tons per year, with a reduction of 300,000 tons per year; Tongting Coal Mine should reduce the capacity from 1.8 million tons per year to 1.5 million tons per year, with a reduction of 300,000 tons per year; Linhuan Coal Mine should lower it from 3 million tons per year to 2.6 million tons per year, with a reduction of 400,000 tons per year. The production capacity of Qinan Coal Mine should be reduced from 3 million tons per year to 2.6 million tons per year, down by 400,000 tons per year.
After conversion, the reduced production capacity of the above-mentioned coal mines is intended to be used in Taohutu mine of Erdos Chengda Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of HBMG. Chengda Mining obtained the minefield exploration license of mineral resources in Taohutu in April 2019. At present, it is carrying out the work of CBM exploration, geological report review and filing and other works. It intends to apply to the National Energy Administration of PRC for capacity replacement after the completion of the above works.
