On June 28, The CEO of MecheL, a Russian mining and metal giant, said at the annual general meeting that he planned to raise the target coal output for 2019 by 6-9% to 20-25 million tons.
Metchell, which was on the verge of bankruptcy, has been in restructuring talks with its lenders for years. The company hopes to reach a debt restructuring agreement with the Bank of Russia by the end of the year.
