Shandong Weiqiao to replace 542,000t of primary aluminum capacity

According to the capacity replacement scheme released by Deparment of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong on 24 June, Weiqiao Group would dismantle 543,000t of primary aluminum capacity successively from June to December 2019 for replacement. No objections were raised during the publication period from 15 to 26 April.
The dismantled capacities includes a 210,000tpy primary aluminum production line with 195 electrolytic cells of 400KA and a 280,000tpy line with 112 cells of 400KA from Weiqiao Aluminum & Electricity, and a 220,000tpy line with 206 cells of 400KA from Binzhou Zhengtong New Aluminum Co., Ltd.
The construction projects include a 30,000tpy primary aluminum production line with 28 cells of 400KA, a 65,000tpy line with 59 cells of 400KA, a 313,000tpy line with 190 cells of 600KA for Weiqiao Aluminum & Electricity, a 121,000tpy line with 48 cells of 400KA and 50 cells of 500KA for Huimin Huihong New Material Co., Ltd., and a 13,000tpy line with 12 cells of 400KA for Binzhou Hongnuo New Material Co., Ltd.
