Indonesia's Coal Mining Association, APBI, said demand for coal will rise by 52
Pandu Sjahrir, president of APBI, says power plants' demand for coal is 91.1 million tons at present and will reach 144 million tons by 2023.
Indonesia's coal exports could also be supported by coal plants currently under construction in Southeast and South Asia, Sjahrir said.
"The increase in demand of power plants is expected to make up for China's falling coal demand." he said.
