USITC makes final determination on third anti-dumping sunset review of industrial damage caused by China's non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting

On June 13, 2019, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) made a final affirmative ruling on the industrial damage caused by the third sunset review of anti-dumping imports of non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting from China. Within a reasonable and predictable period, if the anti-dumping duties on the products involved were abolished, the substantial damage caused by the imports of the products involved to the domestic industries of the United States would continue or recur. In this ruling, five members voted in the affirmative. According to the above affirmative ruling, the current anti-dumping measures against China's non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting will continue to be effective.
On March 20, 2002, the United States filed an anti-dumping investigation on imported non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting from China. On February 18, 2003, the United States made a final anti-dumping ruling in this case. On April 7, 2003, the U.S. Department of Commerce began formally imposing anti-dumping duties on the non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting. Following the affirmative final ruling of the first sunset review of China's non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting, the United States extended the anti-dumping duty on the products involved in China for the first time on August 15, 2008. Following the affirmative final ruling of the second sunset review of China's non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting, the United States extended the anti-dumping duty on the products involved in China for the second time on February 12, 2014. On February 5, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a notice launching the third sunset review investigation on imported non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting from China. On June 11, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a circular announcing that the third sunset review ruling on imported non-malleable cast iron pipe fitting from China was made.
