Xiaoshan Tin conducts maintenance on tin ingot production facility

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Sep 18 - Jiangxi Huichang Xiaoshan Tin Co., Ltd. began to conduct annual regular maintenance in mid-September, a source from the company told Asian Metal.
The source noted that they found some troubles with the whole production line after one of the electric furnaces broke down in August. "We suspended production to conduct maintenance on the whole production line," said the source. The maintenance will last for 15 days with reduced tin ingot output of over 200t.
With an annual capacity of 6,000t of tin ingot, the company has three furnaces of 1,250KVA. It produced about 300t in August and expects less than 200t in September, holding stocks of around 2,000 metal tons of raw material and refined tin in total now.
Xiaoshan Tin mainly produces Xiaoshan tin ingot with tin scrap and tin concentrate and it sold 10t of tin ingot at RMB144,800/t (USD21,120/t) last Friday.
