Wanji Aluminum's aluminum rod output to increase

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Sep 18 - Henan Wanji Aluminum Co., Ltd., with aluminum rod capacity of 150,000tpy, expects its aluminum rod output to rise by about 15% MOM in September.
A source from the company said, "We have five production lines for aluminum rod and operate four of them now. Downstream demand began to increase in September, so we raised output to about 11,500t accordingly, up by about 1,500t from August. The recent increase in demand is also related to the stock preparation for the National Day holiday. We would take maintenance for two lines during the holiday but our output won't be affected."
The company produced about 130,000t of aluminum rod in 2017 and expects about 120,000t in 2018, holding no stocks now.
TC for aluminum rod 6063 stood at RMB360-400/t (USD32.26-39.60/t) EXW D/P in Henan on Thursday, unchanged from Wednesday.
