Xiaoshan Tin resumes normal production of tin ingot

A source from the company told Asian Metal that they have produced about 400t of tin ingot in July, up by one time compared with the figure of 200t in June. "We halted production for three weeks during June as we closed some equipment for environmental inspections . We began to resume production in late June and realized stable and normal production in July," the source said.
The company owns two electric furnaces and an annual capacity of 6,000t of tin ingot, holding about 3,000 metal tons of stocks of raw material and refined tin in total now.
Mainly using tin concentrate to produce Xiaoshan tin ingot, the company has its own mine which has been in production halt since the end of the Spring Festival due to failures to meet environmental inspections. The company purchases tin concentrate 60%min with the treatment charge at RMB13,000/metal ton (USD1,903/metal ton) currently, up by about RMB500/metal ton (USD73.20/metal ton) from June.
