China submits a suit to WTO for US Section 232 measures on steel and aluminum imports

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce will officially launch a dispute settlement procedure to apply for negotiation on the Section 232 measures with the United States under the WTO dispute settlement mechanism.

On one hand, the United States selectively excludes some countries and regions and on the other hand, they imposed tax measures on some WTO members including China.
The head person said that China has been forced to start the dispute settlement procedure to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests in view of the fact that the US refused to make compensation negotiations with China in accordance with WTO rules.
