  • Shanxi Jianlong Steel quits rebar production

    BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Nov 17 - Shanxi province-based steel producer Jianlong Steel stopped its rebar production line on 23rd November, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.

    According to the source, this is the annual facility maintenance which will last for twelve days with a daily output reduction of about 3,500t. There is only rebar production line in Shanxi Jianlong Steel with a regular monthly output of about 100,000t.Asian Metal Copyright “The price increase is mainly because of the insufficient supply from steel mills,” he said, adding that many steel mills are conducting the yearly maintenance at the moment and the supply for rebar decreases accordingly.Asian Metal Copyright “We mainly produce rebar with grades of Φ12-28mm,” he said, adding that they normally have no stocks in hand and customers need to place orders in advance.
