Hunan Valin Xiangtan Steel to quit round steel bar production line next month

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Nov 17 - Hunan province-based Hunan Valin Xiangtan Steel plans to conduct maintenance on its round steel bar production line on 10th December, revealed a source from the company.
According to the source, this is the annual facility maintenance which will last for fifteen days with a total output reduction of about 20,000t for rebound steel bar.
There are one rebar production line and one round steel bar production line in Hunan Valin Xiangtan Steel. “We have finished the annual facility maintenance on rebar production line early this month,” he said, adding that they normally have no stocks in hand and customers need to place orders in advance.
According to the source, the current mainstream market price of rebar HRB400Φ20mm is about RMB4,580/t (USD694/t) VAT included in Changsha, Hunan province, up by RMB160/t (USD24/t) this week.
