Global tin supply sees a shortage of 5,800t from Jan to Sep 2017

Statistics on Wednesday from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS) indicated that the global tin supply saw a shortage of 5,800t from Jan to Sep 2017. The reported tin stocks reduced by 900t in September and those from January to late September increased by 6,400t from the last year.
Statistics showed that the global refined tin output increased by 18,000t from January to September 2017 compared with the same period of 2016. The output of the material during the same period increased by 21,400t in Asia. The apparent demand decreased by 4.3% YOY in China.
As for the demand, the global tin demand reached 279,100t from January to September 2017, down by 1.7% YOY. Tin consumption was 21,800t in Japan, up by 8.5% from 2016.
In September 2017, the global refined tin output was 29,500t and the consumption was 30,700t.
Statistics showed that the global refined tin output increased by 18,000t from January to September 2017 compared with the same period of 2016. The output of the material during the same period increased by 21,400t in Asia. The apparent demand decreased by 4.3% YOY in China.
As for the demand, the global tin demand reached 279,100t from January to September 2017, down by 1.7% YOY. Tin consumption was 21,800t in Japan, up by 8.5% from 2016.
In September 2017, the global refined tin output was 29,500t and the consumption was 30,700t.
