Hunan Valin Xiangtan Steel to resume rebar production this Saturday

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Nov 17 - Hunan province-based Hunan Valin Xiangtan Steel will restart its rebar production on 4th November after the shut down for five days from 30th October, revealed a source from the company.
According to the source, they started the annual facility maintenance on the rebar production line on 30th October, which was decided early last month. “The maintenance will last for five days with a total output reduction of 10,000t,” he said.
There are one rebar production line and one wire rod production line in Hunan Valin Xiangtan Steel with a regular monthly output of about 120,000 tonnes. According to the source, they have no stocks in hand and customers need to place orders in advance.
The current mainstream market price of rebar HRB400Φ20mm is about RMB4,300/t (USD652/t) VAT included in Changsha, Hunan province, generally stable this week.
