Hunan issues first batch of pollutant discharging licenses for nonferrous metal industry in China

The first batch of pollutant discharging licenses for the nonferrous metal industry were issued in Hunan, and Minmetals Copper (Hunan) Co., Ltd. and Chenzhou Jingui Yinye Co., Ltd. acquired the pollutant discharging license printed and distributed by Ministry of Environmental Protection from Environmental Protection Bureau of Hengyang and Chenzhou respectively.
A responsible person from provincial environmental protection department of Hunan said that the issuance of the licenses will play a leading and exemplary role in full implementation of pollutant discharging licenses for the nonferrous metallurgical industry.
It is reported that in March this year, the Ministry of Environmental Protection arranged Hunan to undertake the pollutant discharging licenses pilot in the national nonferrous metals industry, to carry out the industry sewage permit parameter verification, cost measurement, platform testing and other pilot work.
