Baosteel: Integration of Baosteel and WISCO falls in expectations

Baosteel held its online performance briefing for the third quarter of 2017 on October 30. Wu kunzong, the CFO of the company, revealed that the integration of Baosteel and WISCO performs quite smoothly and falls in expectations; the synergistic turnover is expected to exceed RMB1 billion this year.
Wu Yiming, the secretary of the board, disclosed that they vigorously implemented one hundred-day, annual and three-year integration synergy plans, from the aspect of research and development, procurement, marketing, finance, information, etc to enhance synergy. As one of the four main production bases of the company, the former WISCO’s turnover gradually increased and its contribution to the overall benefit of the company will continue to grow.
