Zunyi to build new hundred billion level aluminum industrial base

The Aluminum Industry Special Investment Promotion Seminar (“the Seminar”) was held at Tongzi County in Zunyi on July 25th with a total of 8 projects signed on site, including the aluminum project, 300,000tpy of alloying aluminum project, new energy vehicle aluminum car construction project and so on which are to be invested by SPIC Guizhou Zunyi Industrial Development Co., Ltd. with a total contract value of RMB7.6 billion.
Zunyi is the largest industrial city in Guizhou with aluminum industry being one of the key industries for local economic development and the complete industry chain of “2 million tons of bauxite, 1 million tons of alumina, 440,000t of primary aluminum and 460,000t of deep-processed aluminum” has been formed. For the past few years, Zunyi has always focused on the supply-side structural reform and devoted major efforts to cut power costs and logistic costs for developing aluminum industry, continuously optimizing the governmental service environment and aiming to build a hundred billion level aluminum industrial base with long industrial chain, high additional value and ecological innovation.
Before the Seminar, participants also conducted a field study to CHALCO Zunyi Aluminum Co., Ltd., Zunyi Hengjia Aluminum Co., Ltd., Guizhou Bolan Metal Products Co., Ltd., North Guizhou Modern Logistics New District and Jinlan Weiming Aluminum Co., Ltd. at Bozhou District, Tongzi County, and at same time offered advice and suggestions on the development of aluminum industry in Zunyi.
