According to news on July 18 from Guizhou Daily, Guizhou Hezhong Manganese Technology took root in Shuicheng Economic Development Zone in March 2017, which is a high-tech enterprise specialized in a series of high value-added manganese products and is in construction of a high purity manganese sulfate production line project of 230,000tpy. After the completion of the project, RMB3 billion of revenue is expected to be reached, which will realize the high efficiency, high value, green environmental protection and industrialization utilization of low-grade oxidized manganese ore resources in Shuicheng county. Currently, the company’s products are widely used in production of new energy vehicles, power batteries, cathode materials and pharmaceutical raw materials.
“We use manganese ore to effectively absorb high density sulfur dioxide produced by high sulphur coal combustion, which leads to a combination for pollution abatement for flue gas desulfurization and leaching process of manganese oxide to produce electrolytic manganese and series of products and meanwhile obtain heat and energy for other co-products and achieve ‘zero’ pollution in production.” said Hu Jiayu, the deputy manager of the company introduced.
As for the ash, the company uses the material to produce new building materials through recycling and fully realizes the circular economy of the whole industrial chain, solving the technical problems of high sulphur coal and manganese oxide utilization.
At present, the company is actively exploring the industrial technology with integration of electricity, sulfur and manganese and has formed three industrial chains of circular economy of industrial circulation, resource recycling and energy recycling.
