Non-ferrous industry shows favorable situation in Jiangxi in H1 2017

According to news from Jiangxi provincial government, the non-ferrous industry fully picked up continuously in Jiangxi in H1 2017, showing a favorable situation with rising prices, production growth, and good achievement. Copper prices are still stable at about RMB46,000/t, up by 28.2% YOY; those for tungsten concentrate stand at RMB81,000/t ,up by 22.7% YOY; those for europium oxide and terbium oxide increase by 79.1% and 38.5% respectively. In the first five months of 2017, nonferrous companies above certain size realized RMB41.85 billion of industrial added value, up by 9.1% YOY, and RMB283.81 billion of main business income, up by 19.8% YOY. These companies earned RMB10.03 billion of profit, up by 39.6%, and RMB18 billion of profit and tax, up by 40.2%. It is expected that Jiangxi province will realize RMB342 billion of main business income, up by 18% YOY, and RMB12 billion of profit, up by 36.1%, achieving “over half for both” target.
