Approved by Science & Technology Bureau of Zhengzhou, Zhengzhou Research Institute of Light Metals will build Light Metals Academician Workstation.
It is known that Zhengzhou Research Institute of Light Metals is a scientific and technologic type company of mixed ownership which includes 50% ownership of Zhengzhou Non-ferrous Metals Research Institute Co., Ltd . of Chalco and 50% of Zhengzhou Light Metals Research Institute of Chalco.
Relying on Zhengzhou Research Institute of Light Metals, Light Metals Academician Workstation will give full play to the academy team’s talent advantage, technology advantage, and platform advantage of Zhengzhou Non-ferrous Metals Research Institute Co., Ltd . of Chalco, carry out research on high-performance Mg-Li alloy and high strength cast aluminum alloy applied in industries of aerospace, weaponry, communication and transportation, and electrommunication to expand the industrial application of high-performance light alloy, replace steel with aluminum, replace aluminum with magnesium, reduce the structural weight of relative industrial equipment, promote the revolution of material lightweight, and provide technical support and security for the continuous development of aluminum and magnesium industry, which will bring favorable economic and social benefits.
