    Zhonghuan takes a stake in GCL with RMB150 million

    Zhonghuan Semiconductor Corporation announced on late 1 July that it plans to corporate with GCL New Energy Holdings Limited by tanking a stake in GCL Xinjiang, wholly-owned subsidiary of GCL, with RMB150 million.

    GCL will also increase capital to GCL Xinjiang and Zhonghuan will hold 10% of stakes of GCL Xinjiang after then.

    After the capital increases, GCL Xinjiang will build the production line with over 40,000t of polysilicon by two phases. The phase I will come on stream in April 2018 and the phase II in November 2018.
