Inner Mongolia Zhongyu's magnesium alloy forging wheel hub project fully resumed

Recently, the project of Inner Mongolia Zhongyu’s magnesium alloy forging wheel hub and vehicle lightweight material has been fully resumed recently, one of the major projects both in the autonomous region of Haibowan Qianlishan Industrial Park and Wuhai city and the construction work of Phase I project is expected to be completed and the smelting workshop will be in trial operation in late April to prepare for later production of forged wheels.
The person in charge of the project introduced that related maintenance and equipment installment have been commenced from late February and the resumption work for the project was officially started on March 15.
"All workers have been in the factory and we aimed to achieve output of magnesium bar in late April when all works has been done; the trial production of aluminum magnesium forging hub will be conducted in late August, which will be conducted for magnesium alloy forging hub in late October.” said the official of Zhongyu Magnesium Co., Ltd.
The project covers an area of 2850 acres, with a total investment of RMB7.35 billion and output of 6 million of magnesium hubs and 250,000t of high performance magnesium alloy plates. The construction work has been started for Phase I of 1.2 million of magnesium hubs and 5,000t of high performance magnesium alloy plates in April 2016 and the construction of 7 plants have been completed by 80% with 80% for color coated sheet installment and steel structure installation fully completed so far.
“We plan to produce 200,000 of hubs from late August to late the year with output of RMB200 million and taxation of RMB80 million.” said the official.
