Ukrainian aluminum alloy ingot AK5M2 export market demand soft

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Sep 16 - The demand for aluminum alloy ingot AK5M2 in the overseas market keeps weak this week, so Ukrainian producers can only receive some small orders from regular clients and hold the export prices stable at USD1,470-1,500/t FCA currently, the same as those of last week.
A Ukrainian aluminum alloy ingot AK5M2 producer reported that their export prices of the material are about USD1,470-1,480/t FCA according to the purchasing volume this week, rarely changed over the past two weeks. "Some overseas buyers even wanted to purchase the material at USD1,460/t FCA last week, we didn’t accept the orders," said the source, adding that they will stabilize the price in the near future in view of high prices of raw materials.
The producer ran at full capacity with a monthly output of 400t in the first half of year. But as overseas buyers are inactive to make purchases, their monthly output has decreased to around 300t since June. They have no stocks and may produce 300t this month.
"Our export price of aluminum alloy ingot AK5M2 is about USD1,480/t FCA at present, unchanged compared with that of last week," said another Ukrainian aluminum alloy ingot AK5M2 producer, adding that their price for local market is also stable at UAH45.0/kg (USD1,678/t) this week and they have received about 100t of the material in total over the past two weeks.
The producer has suspended production on aluminum alloy ingot AK5M2 since early May and only resumed production last week according to firm orders. The producer’s annual production capacity is about 4,800t. They don’t hold any inventories now and plan to produce 100t this month.
