Baisheng Group to increase titanium sponge production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 4 Mar 16 – Located in Xiantao, Hubei, with a designed annual production capacity of 30,000t, Hubei Baisheng Titanium Co, the subsidiary of Baisheng Group, began the trial production of titanium sponge this month. The first patch of the end product will come out at the end of March at the soonest.
A source from Baisheng Group reported that in October 2014, Xiantao municipal government signed the agreement with Baisheng on the cooperation construction site of production capacity of 30000t of titanium sponge in Xiantao. The early stage of the construction work has been completed and the preparation work of trial production began after the Spring Festival holiday. With a monthly output of 500t to be expected in the coming month, Baisheng Group, with the current production capacity of 8,000t and normal monthly ouyput of 500t, will increase the production volume of titanium sponge to 1,000t in the future. “It’s expected that the end product will come out by the end of this month,” said the source, conveying that they hold 300t of stocks now.
Baisheng Group was founded in 2003, the headquarter is located in Chaoyang, liaoning province. Baisheng is the first domestic private enterprise specializing in the production of titanium sponge and its leading products are exported to Germany, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Britain, Sweden and other more than 10 countries and regions.
