A producer in south China, whose monthly production is around 50t, claimed that their offers of bismuth oxide 99.9%min dropped to RMB92,000-93,000/t (USD6 . 72-6.80/lb), down by RMB2,000/t (USD0.15/lb) compared with those from two weeks ago . According to the source, they didn’t purchase bismuth ingot this week because of the slipping price and they tend to consume the inventory first.
"We can produce about 20-30t of bismuth ingot, and the rest will be purchased on the spot market. Currently, bismuth ingot 99 . 99%min prices are dropping largely and we would rather make purchase when the price is stable,” said the source, claimed that their clients also continue to purchase from hand to mouth.
Another producer in Middle China confirmed the dropping price and said their offers for bismuth oxide 99.9%min are at RMB93,000/t (USD6.80/lb), down by RMB1,000/t (USD0.07/lb) compared with that of last week . The source produced about 90t of material in May and held little stock of material in hand.
"Our materials are fully ordered, maybe that is because we have price advantages,” said the source, and claiming that though the sales volume is stable at 90tpm, buyers still purchase in small volume and would not keep too much stocks in hand.
