BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Jun 15 - Welded pipe prices in Malaysia’s major cities show a flat trend at this moment and the market is relatively quiet. Insiders foresee a slow welded pipe market in Malaysia in following several weeks.
A trader in Pahang reports to Asian Metal that his price of BS1387 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm is MYR2,600/t (USD693/t), stable compared with that of last week.
The source discloses that ex-works prices for welded pipe from Malaysian producers are stable at this moment, so local traders are inclined to maintain their quotations unchanged amid the quiet market. However, he tells Asian Metal that the market prospect for welded pipe is unpromising with the oil industry showing no signs of improving.
