BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Apr 15 - Welded pipe prices in Singapore are temporarily unchanged, while the market remains dim without the strong support from downstream demand. Insiders deem that the Singaporean welded pipe market is unlikely to turn much better in the near future.
A trader in Singapore reveals to Asian Metal that the local price of welded pipe SS400 Φ114.3mm*3.75mm imported from China is SGD680/t (USD515/t), stable compared with that of last week.
The source informs that the demand for welded pipe shows no signs of releasing in Singapore, and his sales performance remains unsatisfying. He used to replenish stocks once or twice a month, while nowadays he purchases new materials every two months. With a total stockpile of 7,000t against the target level of 10,000t, he is not confident of the welded pipe market outlook.
