The source thinks that Chinese bismuth market is likely to see more deals into September and the prices still have room to increase. Thus, they seldom sold materials recently, waiting for the prices to go up further.

A bismuth oxide producer, with a regular consumption of around 20tpm for bismuth ingot, reported that Chinese bismuth ingot prices began to show signal of pick up in early August and they purchased large quantities of bismuth ingot at RMB96,000/t (USD7.13/lb) at the time. Then they added a few stocks at below RMB100,000/t (USD7.43/lb). The source claimed that the prices for bismuth ingot increased to over RMB100,000/t (USD7.43/lb) in mid-August and they did not add stocks.
