China to impose export tariff on W, Mo, Sb, Cr and Mn

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 26 Dec 06 - China Ministry of Finance announces today that China will begin to impose export tariff on primary tungsten products, unwrought molybdenum, antimony, chromium and manganese metal, in order to further limit the export for commodities with high energy consumption and high environmental pollution, as well as unregenerated raw materials.
The new policy will take effect on 1 Jan 2007, with detailed tariffs for above-mentioned metals available later.
