Tinci Materials to invest in 30ktpa lithium carbonate project

Tinci Materials has agreed to allow its subsidiary Tinci Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. to invest up to RMB1.07 billion (USD149 million) to build a lithium carbonate project with production capacity of 30,000 tonnes per annum.
The project will be located at Jinshawan Industrial Park in Jiujiang, Jiangxi and the construction is expected to take 14 months. When operational, it would achieve an operating revenue of RMB2.53 billion (USD353 million) and net income of RMB168 million (USD23.47 million) annually on average.
The project is expected to further improve the company's supply chain of lithium carbonate, a key raw material for lithium battery electrolyte, and also increase cost advantage for products like electrolyte and lithium iron phosphate, making the company more profitable and competitive.
