30ktpa anode materials project put into operation in Yunxian, China

On November 9, Yunnan Kaiyaowei New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. began the phase one production at its 180,000tpa lithium battery materials project located in Yunxian.
With investment of RMB620 million (USD85.02 million) and a land area of 100Mu (6.67 hectares), the phase one of the project broke ground in May 2022 to build production capacity of 30,000tpa of anode materials used for lithium battery and is expected to generate annual production value of RMB600 million (USD82.28 million) and tax revenue of RMB72 million (USD9.87 million).
At the newly-built No.1 plant, seven production lines are put into operation, including six grinding lines and one drying line. So far, the company has signed orders of 1,800t of raw material, with 300t already delivered to warehouse.
With a total investment of RMB3.12 billion (USD428 million), the project is expected to put capacity of 60,000tpa into operation by 2024 and reach full capacity by November 2025. The project would achieve annual production capacity of RMB3 billion (USD411 million) along with tax revenue of RMB390 million (USD53.48 million), and help create more than 800 jobs.
