Auction results released for two lithium mining claims in Sichuan

On August 11, Sichuan Energy Investment Holding Co., Ltd. won the auction for the exploration right of Lijiagou North Lithium Mine located in Jinchuan, Sichuan for RMB1.01 billion (USD139 million), more than 1,771 times that of the starting price of RMB570,000 (USD78,500).
On August 13, Anhui Dazhong New Energy Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Dazhong Mining Co., Ltd., won the auction for the mining claim of Jiada Lithium Mine located in Maerkang, Sichuan for RMB4.21 billion (USD579 million), 1,317 times as much as the starting price at RMB3.19 million (USD442,355).
According to a report by the Sichuan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, Jiada Lithium Mine has potential ore resources of 29.67-47.16 million tonnes with an average grade at 1.26% Li2O, including inferred resources of 370,000-600,000 tonnes of lithium oxide (920,000-1,480,000 tonnes of LCE), showing potential for a large to ultra-large spodumene deposit.
