Jinyaoshi lithium battery materials project to break ground in Yunmeng

On July 25, Hubei Jiasheng Technology Co., Ltd. entered into an agreement to build Jinyaoshi lithium battery materials project with total investment of RMB445 million (USD62.05 million) in Yunmeng, a county in China's Hubei province.
The project will be located at Yunmeng Salt Chemical Industry Park with a planned area of 50Mu (3.33 hectares). Phase one of the project, with investment of RMB225 million (USD31.38 million), would produce 100t of lithium hydride and 200t of lithium oxide annually, amounting to production value of RMB600 million (USD83.67 million). The second phase, with investment of RMB220 million (USD30.68 million), would produce 200t of lithium hydride and 1,000t of lithium oxide per annum. When reaching full capacity, the project is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of more than RMB490 million (USD68.33 million) and at least RMB50 million (USD6.97 million) of tax contribution.
