Corun's 10ktpa lithium carbonate capacity to come on stream

Hunan Corun New Energy Co., Ltd. expects to have 10,000tpa of battery grade lithium carbonate capacity coming on stream in late July as the plant construction is near completion.
The 10,000tpa capacity to come on stream is the first phase of the 30,000tpa battery grade lithium carbonate project between Corun and the government of Yifeng county. In late June 2022, the two sides reached an agreement to invest no less than RMB3.5 billion (USD483 million) in 30,000tpa battery grade lithium carbonate project, 60,000tpy high-power LFP project, and hybrid power technology platform project.
The company is proceeding with the lithium carbonate project for the remaining capacity of 20,000tpa as it aims to reach full capacity of 30,000tpa by the end of 2023.
