15-billion-yuan lithium project starts construction in Hengfeng County

On June 18, industrial projects in the second quarter of 2023 in Hengfeng County were started or completed, and the project of Ganfeng Lithium with an investment of 15 billion yuan (2.08 billion US dollars) officially started construction.
Ganfeng Lithium plans to invest 15 billion yuan (2.08 billion US dollars) to build an integrated project of lithium mining, dressing and smelting, including 10 billion yuan (1.39 billion US dollars) for a supporting project of CHP with an annual output of 50,000t of battery grade lithium salt, and 5 billion yuan (695 million US dollars) for a comprehensive utilization project of lithium mining, dressing and smelting with an annual output of 6 million tons.
