Tianqi Lithium to invest RMB3 billion in building battery grade lithium hydroxide production base

Tianqi Lithium announced on May 12th that it will build a battery grade lithium hydroxide production base in Zhangjiagang Bonded Area in Suzhou, Jiangsu and will sign the Investment Agreement with the management commission of the area.
The project is planned to have a total investment of about RMB3 billion (USD431.13 million), including no more than RMB2 billion (USD287.42 million) of self-raised funds for 30,000tpy battery grade lithium hydroxide project. It's expected that the project would have a construction period of two years in phase one.
