Chinese chrome metal prices unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 23 Apr 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the unchanged market demand. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese chrome metal 99%min stand at RMB68,000-69,500/t (USD9,873-10,091/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A producer from North China disclosed, "We offer RMB68,500/t (USD9,945/t) EXW D/P for Chinese chrome metal 99%min and could accept the price as low as RMB68,000/t (USD9,873/t) EXW D/P at present, in line with early this week". They did not conclude any deal today and last sold around 10t at RMB68,000/t (USD9,873/t) early this week. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep flat in the coming week.
The producer, with the annual production capacity of 12,000t of chrome metal 99%min, predicts to produce around 100t in April, unchanged from March. They have no stock at present.
A trader from South China mentioned, "We quote RMB68,500/t (USD9,945/t) EXW D/P and could not accept any prices lower than RMB68,000/t (USD9,873/t) for chrome metal 99%min at the moment, in line with early this week". They did not conclude any deal this week and last sold around 5t at RMB68,000/t (USD9,873/t) late last week. They estimate the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the following week and they would keep their prices steady as well.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 10t of chrome metal 99%min, estimates to sell around 10t in April, in line with March. They have around 20t of stocks at the moment.
