Zimbabwean chrome ore prices in China unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 April 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week. Currently, the mainstream prices for Zimbabwean chrome concentrate 50%min stand at RMB57-58/dmtu (USD8.26-8.41/dmtu) in warehouse Tianjin, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep flat within this week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from South China disclosed, "We offer RMB57/dmtu (USD8.26/dmtu) for Zimbabwean chrome concentrate 49%min and could accept the price as low as RMB56/dmtu (USD8.12/dmtu) at present, unchanged from early this week". They did not conclude any deal so far this week, and last sold around 1,000t at RMB56/dmtu (USD8.12/dmtu) early this week. They have no plan to change their price and predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 2,000t of Zimbabwean chrome concentrate 49%min, predicts to sell around 1,000t in April, down by around 1,000t from March. They have no stock at present.
A trader from North China mentioned, "We quote RMB62/dmtu (USD8.99/dmtu) for Zimbabwean chrome concentrate 52%min with no concession at present, unchanged from early this week". They received an inquiry today, but they refused to sell because the customer wanted to purchase at RMB59/dmtu (USD8.55/dmtu). They last sold around 800t at RMB62/dmtu (USD8.99/dmtu) in late March. They have no intention to adjust their price and estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat within this week.
