Zhicun Lithium to build lithium carbonate and cathode material projects in Altay

On February 2nd, Zhicun Lithium Group held a symposium with the Administrative Office of Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and signed a cooperation framework agreement on lithium carbonate new material industry projects.
It is reported that Zhicun Lithium will focus on building the new energy material industry in Altay with a total investment of RMB11 billion (USD1.62 billion) to implement the lithium carbonate new material industry projects. In particular, RMB6 billion (USD884.85 million) will be invested in the construction of lithium carbonate production projects with a total production capacity of no less than 60,000t per year and their supporting dressing plants of 3,000,000tpy. In addition, Zhicun Lithium, together with its relevant strategic partners, will invest about RMB5 billion (USD737.38 million) to build cathode material projects of 200,000tpy.
It's learnt that Zhicun Lithium already invested in building a 120,000tpy battery grade lithium carbonate project in Xinjiang.
