Longyuan Power to build 5GW new energy projects in Xinjiang

On January 30, Longyuan Power Engineering entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the government of Mulei Kazakh Autonomous County to invest in new energy projects with installed capacity of 5 gigawatts.
According to the agreement, the company will join hands with Beijing SOJO Electric, China Power New Energy, Sichuan Baoguang and GIO, to build green energy base in Mulei Kazakh Autonomous County, Changji, Xinjiang. The projects include 3GW wind power project, 2GW solar power project and associated facilities . An energy storage project with capacity of 1 . 25GW will be build at the same time.
