Ganfeng Lithium to invest no more than RMB3.5 billion in building 6GWhpy new-type lithium battery production project

Ganfeng Lithium announced on August 30th that the meeting of the board of directors reviewed and approved a scheme, agreeing Jiangxi Ganfeng LiEnergy and its subsidiary, Ganfeng New Lithium Energy, to invest self-owned funds of no more than RMB3.5 billion (USD507.64 million) and RMB2 billion (USD290.12 million) in building a 6GWhpy new-type lithium battery production project and a small project that could produce 200 million polymer lithium-ion batteries per year respectively. The meeting also approved Ganfeng LiEnergy to raise the annual production capacity of its new-type lithium battery project in the High-Tech Industrial Development District in Xinyu, Jiangxi from 5GWh to 10GWh and that of the new-type lithium battery technology industrial park & advanced battery research institute project in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area from 10GWh to 20GWh.
