China's parc of new energy vehicles breaks 10 million units

According to statistics from China's Ministry of Public Security, China's parc of motor vehicles reached 406 million units by the end of June 2022, including 310 million cars and 10.01 million new energy vehicles.
It's learnt that China's parc of new energy vehicles accounted for 3.23% of the total number of cars. In particular, the parc of battery electric vehicles was 8.104 million units, occupying 80.93% of the total number of new energy vehicles. In the first half of 2022, the number of newly registered new energy vehicles stood at 2.209 million units, up by 1.106 million units or 100.26% YOY, accounting for 19.90% of the total number of newly registered cars.
