Building of pure electric cruise ship with largest battery capacity worldwide commences

CATL announced on December 24th that the building of the pure electric green commercial cruise ship with largest battery capacity worldwide, namely the No.1 Yangtze Gorges Pure Electric Cruise Ship, commenced formally.
The cruise ship will be equipped with power batteries produced by CATL with a total battery capacity of 7.5MWh, equivalent to the battery capacity of over 100 pure electric vehicles. It is the pure electric passenger ship with the largest battery capacity, the most seats and the highest level of intelligence designed in the world by now.
It's learned that the battery system of the No.1 Yangtze Gorges Pure Electric Cruise Ship is composed of more than 10,000 high-safety LFP battery cells produced by CATL. The ship is scheduled to be launched in July 2021 and put into operation in November 2021.
