LG Chem signs power purchase agreement with Runfeng New Energy

LG Chem announced on December 14 that its cathode material plant Leyou New Energy Material (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. signed a 140GWh power purchase agreement with a local wind/solar power generation enterprise Jiangsu Runfeng New Energy Co., Ltd.
According to the agreement, the Wuxi plant will purchase electricity generated from wind or solar energy directly from Ruifeng New Energy instead of from resellers; and the contracted 140GWh supply will be enough to meet the plant's entire demand for power. From 2021 on, LG Chem's Wuxi plant will use only renewable energy.
