CAAM publicizes third list of NEV manufacturers and modes for rural consumption incentive plan

On October 19, China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) publicized the third list of NEV manufacturers and auto modes as part of the NEV rural consumption incentive plan advanced by Chinese government.
Compared with previously announced two lists, there are fewer NEV manufacturers and modes included in the third list. In the first list there were ten NEV manufacturers and 16 NEV modes; in the second list there were 14 manufacturers and 36 vehicle modes, and in the third list there are 61 vehicle modes.
Thanks to Chinese government's support to NEV consumption, NEV sales in China grew steadily. Statistics show that in September NEV output and sales in China were 136,000 vehicles and 138,000 vehicles respectively, up by 48.0% and 67.7% YOY. In particular, in September pure electric vehicle output and sales were 107,000 vehicles and 112,000 vehicles respectively, up by 40.0% and 71.5% YOY; output and sales of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles were 29,000 vehicles and 26,000 vehicles respectively, up by 89.5% and 53.95 YOY.
