China Minerals Rare Earth produces 4,002.03 tons of REOs in 2019

According to the 2019 financial report released by China Minerals Rare Earth, the company totally produced 4,002.03 tons of rare earth oxides (REOs) in the year, in line with the previous year. It recorded a relatively high production capacity utilization rate and achieved annual production target.
In the reporting period, the company took active measures against limited overseas supply of rare earths. Before import of Burmese rare earth concentrate was suspended in May, the company accelerated procurement efficiency by taking advantage of its business platform in Yunnan and basically prepared all raw materials needed by its affiliated separation plants in 2019, laying a foundation for stabilizing production in the year. It planned to take over production capacity of Gan County Hongjin Rare Earth Co., Ltd., which halted production for relocation, in advance. Hongjin Rare Earth suspended production gradually in August 2019 and China Minerals Rare Earth reasonably adjusted annual total quantity control targets based on business and actual situation of affiliated separation plants in accordance with relevant policies, ensuring compliance and high-efficiency of production in 2019.
