Changzhi improves heavy pollution weather alert from yellow to orange

The office of heavy pollution weather emergency command in Changzhi released that the office decided to improve heavy pollution weather alert from yellow (Level III) to orange (Level II) in Changzhi from 18:00 of January 5, 2020 and the removal time will be subject to further notice.
The compulsory measures for emission reduction include:
Iron and steel industry: sintering machines and pelletizing facilities should suspend production; if the alert responding time exceeds 120 hours, these machines and facilities can face 50% or above of production limitation based on production lines; blast furnaces should face 50% or above production suspension based on production lines; independent steel-rolling enterprises should suspend production.
Coking industry: all enterprises should extend coking time to over 48 hours and clean heat-recovery coking time to 144 hours.
Coal-fired power plant: all plants should implement the emission standards with sulfur dioxide of lower than 20mg per cubic meters and oxides of nitrogen of lower than 35mg per cubic meters.
Construction materials industry: all enterprises should suspend production.
Casting industry: all enterprises should suspend production.
