Phase I project of Yibin new energy auto and parts industrial park goes into production

On December 24, the phase I project of Yibin new energy auto and parts industrial park was completed and put into operation.
The project has a total investment of 3.7 billion yuan (529 million US dollars) and a designed annual capacity of 150,000 vehicles. It is located in Lingang economic and technological development zone, Yibin city, Sichuan province. The project covers an area of 973.3 mu with a total construction area of about 240,000 square meters and will include a R&D center and stamping, welding, costing and installation workshop.
It is reported that by 2025, the industrial park is expected to achieve an output value of 100 billion yuan (14 billion US dollars) and build an ecosystem for new energy auto industrial chain, making Yibin an important comprehensive automobile industry base in southwest China.
