Xiangtan Electrochemical invests more in battery material

Xiangtan Electrochemical Scientific Ltd. announced the other day that the board of directors of the company agreed to increase the capital of Hunan Yuneng New Energy Battery Material Co., Ltd. by RMB 28.926 million. After the capital increase, the company's capital contribution to Yuneng New Energy was RMB46.597 million, and the proportion of capital contribution remained unchanged at 16.07%.
Yuneng New Energy is reportedly a joint venture invested by Xiangtan Electrochemical and its related parties. It mainly produces lithium iron phosphate and ternary material. The ternary materials are still in the certification stage while lithium iron phosphate is in the production stage.
Yunneng New Energy has an annual capacity of 10,000t for lithium iron phosphate and 3,000t for ternary material. Its lithium iron phosphate was certified by companies like CATL and BYD, and achieved mass sales.
